Cold storage & logistics
Cold storage & logistics
Temperature-held storage plus comfort and ventilation for the warehouses and logistics buildings around it.

What makes this different
- Stored goods need reliable, held temperatures — sometimes several zones at once.
- Huge warehouse volumes are hard and costly to ventilate and temper.
- Offices and pick areas need comfort alongside industrial refrigeration.
Our system approach
- Refrigeration and cooling sized and zoned for the stored product.
- Large-volume ventilation and destratification for the warehouse.
- VRF comfort systems for offices and pick/pack areas.
What we look at in cold storage and logistics
Held temperature is a product requirement, so the design starts from what is stored and how it moves. Chilled, frozen and ambient zones have different setpoints, different defrost behaviour and different tolerances for excursion, and a building that handles several at once needs those boundaries designed rather than improvised with a curtain.
Doors and traffic drive far more load than the insulation calculation suggests. Every opening for a forklift or a loading vehicle admits warm, moist air, which becomes both an energy cost and an ice problem at the evaporators and on the floor. Door protection, air curtains, dock sealing and realistic assumptions about traffic frequency belong in the design, not in the complaints afterwards.
The building around the cold store still needs treating. Picking areas, offices and mezzanines are worked in by people and are frequently uncomfortable in both directions — cold near the store, hot under the roof in summer. Large-volume ventilation, destratification and separate comfort systems for occupied areas usually give a better result than extending the industrial plant into spaces it was never sized for.
How a project runs, end to end
One team, from the first drawing to aftercare.
- Design & specificationSite survey, load assessment, system selection and a clear specification of what's included.
- Factory-direct supplyEquipment procured and, where needed, exported directly through our manufacturing network.
- InstallationProgramme-managed installation, phased around your operation and access.
- Testing & handoverSystems tested, balanced and handed over with controls set up and staff shown the essentials.
- Maintenance & aftercarePlanned maintenance and support to keep performance and warranties intact.
