Factory & industrial air conditioning

Cooling and ventilation for factories and large workshops — handling big volumes, process heat and the practical realities of a working floor.

What makes this different

  • Large, high-ceiling volumes are expensive to condition uniformly.
  • Process equipment adds heat loads that ordinary comfort systems can't absorb.
  • Ventilation, air quality and worker comfort often matter as much as temperature.

Our system approach

  • Zoned VRF and high-capacity units for offices and controlled areas within the plant.
  • Ventilation and process cooling matched to the equipment and heat load.
  • Robust, serviceable equipment specified for an industrial environment.

What we look at in a factory or large workshop

In a production building the process usually dominates the load. Ovens, presses, motors, compressors and welding all reject heat into the space, and that heat does not care what the weather is doing. We start from the equipment schedule and the shift pattern rather than the floor area, because a workshop with a large process load needs a different answer from a warehouse of the same size.

Conditioning an entire high-bay volume is often the wrong goal. Spot cooling at workstations, cooling only the offices and controlled areas, destratification to bring warm air back down, and ventilation to remove heat and fumes are usually a better use of budget than trying to hold a uniform temperature across the whole building. Where a process genuinely needs tight conditions, we treat that area as its own zone.

Equipment selection has to survive the environment. Dust, oil mist, vibration and wash-down all shorten the life of the wrong unit, so filtration, coil protection, mounting and access for cleaning matter more here than in a comfort installation. Power supply and phasing get checked early, since large plant frequently needs distribution work that is easy to miss at quotation stage.

How a project runs, end to end

One team, from the first drawing to aftercare.

  1. Design & specificationSite survey, load assessment, system selection and a clear specification of what's included.
  2. Factory-direct supplyEquipment procured and, where needed, exported directly through our manufacturing network.
  3. InstallationProgramme-managed installation, phased around your operation and access.
  4. Testing & handoverSystems tested, balanced and handed over with controls set up and staff shown the essentials.
  5. Maintenance & aftercarePlanned maintenance and support to keep performance and warranties intact.
